Abstract

Meralgia paresthetica is a symptom complex resulting from entrapment of the lateral femoral cutaneous nevre presenting itself with paresthesia, burning sensation, dysesthesia, numbness, and rarely with pain in the anterolateral thigh. Generally with conservative treatment results are satisfactory, and surgery is rarely indicated. In this study a case of meralgia paresthetica in a policeman which was treated conservatively is presented. © 2010 Düzce Medical Journal.
