Abstract
Bu çalışma iki başlık halinde düzenlenmiştir. İlk bölüm, Okay'ın kişiliğine dair hatırlama ve tespitlerden oluşur. İkinci bölümde ise onun eserlerinden hareketle bilimsel kimliği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Okay'ın yaşamı bilgiye odaklanmıştır. Geniş bir bilgi oluşturma çabası onun gelişim çağının temelidir. Meslek yaşamında ise, bu defa bilginin paylaşımı yaşamının odak noktası haline gelmiştir. Bir eğitimci, bir araştırmacı olarak kendine has sağlam bir bilim/yazı dili oluşturmuştur. Okay, iyi bir hoca, başarılı bir araştırmacı, saygın bir bilim adamı kimliği oluşturmuştur. O, bilimsel bir tavır olarak, araştırmacının geçmiş ve gelecek arasında bir kültür köprüsü kurma görevi yüklenmesi gerektiği kanaatindedir
This work has been organized into two titles. The first part consists of reminiscences and fixations about Okay’s personality. In the second part, his scientific identity was tried to be determined by moving from his works. Okay’s life has focused on the knowledge. The effort to create a broad knowledge is the basis of his developmental period. In the professional life, this time sharing of knowledge has become the focal point of life.Okay, as a teacher and successful researcher, has created a respected scientist identity. As an educator and a researcher, he has created a unique language / science. He believes, as a scientific attitude, that the researcher should be tasked with establishing a cultural bridge between the past and the future
