Özet
The purpose of this study was to determine the design, manufacturing, positive and negative aspects, and comparisons with field trials of insect cage integrated into Scandinavian type three funnel traps that is one of the traditional pheromone trap systems. A total of 9 families and 21 insect species belonging to these families were identified with the designed insect pheromone traps system. Overall, 82% of captured insects were alive. Also, it was observed that the captured dead insects were kept their physical integrity. The data obtained in this study showed that the newly designed pheromone system can be used successfully for capturing live insects. On the other hand, this new system provides us to observe captured insect's biology as well as use the material and equipments to support their longer survival. Generally, with this newly designed system, it will enable live insect to be collected and followed during conducting some biological and entomological studies in the nature.
