This study aims to evaluate the concept of virtual space tourism through the lens of "The Climb, " a software initially introduced as both a game and a memorable tourism experience. The primary limitation is the restricted generalizability due to the necessity of purchasing the software and the participants' interest in virtual activities, highlighting the need for broader evaluation with diverse participant pools and new platforms. The significance of this research lies in its potential to inform future developments in virtual space tourism, advocating for longitudinal studies, comparative analyses, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to enhance realism, immersion, and the overall quality of virtual tourism experiences. Ultimately, the study underscores the transformative potential of advanced virtual technologies in creating immersive and memorable tourism experiences, opening new avenues for exploration and engagement in the tourism industry. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
