Özet

An extensive review of the gamma radiation effect on carbon nanotubes is given in this study. The interaction ofcarbon nanotubes with different doses and energies gamma radiation has been studied in recent years. Carbonnanotubes are desirable materials in technological applications because of their extra features such as goodthermal properties, ultra-light structures, different conductivity properties, durability, and superior heatresistance. For these reasons, they are used extensively in device construction. These devices are usedextensively in environments exposed to radiation such as medicine, aviation, nuclear reactors, nuclear wastestorage. Knowing the response of carbon nanotube materials to radiation is very important for the stability of thedevices made. As can be seen from the literature review, the interaction of the material with gamma radiation isquite variable according to the type of material, the purity, and the atomic lattice of material, dose and energy ofthe applied radiation and the environment (water, air, etc.) subjected to.
