Özet
This paper presents both analytical analysis and simulation model of a traffic sensitive wireless body area network structure by using non-preemptive priority M/G/1 queue discipline. For improving data transmission delay of the body area network, data priorities are classified into three different priority traffic classes; namely normal, on-demand and emergency. Emergency traffic has the highest priority; on-demand has the second highest, and so on. In this research, an example traffic sensitive wireless body area network has been developed, modeled and simulated by using the OPNET Modeler simulation software with the purpose of verifying the analytical end-to-end delay and throughput results. The simulation results obtained under various network load conditions are consistent with the analytical results. The results of the proposed traffic sensitive WBAN are also compared with the insensitive one for analyzing priority data transmission delay with various data packet inter-arrival rates.
