| dc.description.abstract | Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between the number of siblingsand self-consept among adolescents attending 7th grade.Materials and methods: Type of study is a cross-sectional descriptive survey. The researchwas held at 41 elementary schools in Isparta downtown; among 2795 seventh grade students,2676 students participated in the study. Results were obtained using socio-demographic dataform and the Pierss-Harris Self-consept Scale.Results: There has been found a significant correlation between the number of siblings andself-consept scores. | dc.description.abstract | Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı 7. sınıftaki ergenlerde kardeş sayısı ile öz-kavram arasındakiilişkileri saptamaktır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmanın türü kesitsel tanımlayıcı anket çalışmasıdır. Araştırmaya IspartaMerkezde bulunan, 41 ilköğretim okulunda 7. Sınıfta okuyan 2795 öğrenciden 2676 tanesikatılmıştır. Veriler sosyodemografik veri formu ve Pierss-Harris Öz-kavram ölçeği kullanılarakelde edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin kardeş sayıları ile öz-kavram puanı arasındaanlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Testin sonucuna göre tek kardeş ve 2 kardeş olanlar, 5 ve üzerikardeş olanlara göre popülarite, sosyal beğeni ya da gözde olma alt boyut puanı daha yüksekbulunmuştur.
