dc.description.abstract2020 yılının başından itibaren tüm dünyayı sarsan Covid19 pandemisibireylerin tüm yaşantılarını etkisi altına almıştır ve şüphesiz ki eğitim sektörüde bu durumdan oldukça etkilenmiştir ve tüm dünyada ve ülkemizde uzaktaneğitim uygulamaları hızla yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmanın amacı; pandemi sürecinde bir üniversitenin yabancı dil (İngilizce) hazırlıkprogramında uygulanan eş zamanlı uzaktan eğitime yönelik öğrencilerin görüşlerini incelemektir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışmasına göredesenlenen bu çalışmada eş zamanlı uzaktan eğitime katılan ve çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılım sağlayan hazırlık programındaki 78 öğrenciye araştırmacılartarafından geliştirilen ve açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan anket formu, Google Formsyoluyla uygulanmıştır. Toplanan veriler üzerinde içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre öğrencilerin genel olarak geleneksel yüz yüze eğitimieş zamanlı uzaktan eğitime tercih ettikleri; eş zamanlı uzaktan eğitim için farklımetaforlar kullandıkları; eş zamanlı uzaktan eğitimin etkileşim boyutunda eksiklikler olduğu ve eş zamanlı uzaktan eğitimde ekstra etkinlikler ve ödevlendirme boyutunun önemli olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe Covid19 pandemic, which has shaken the whole world since the beginning of 2020, has affected all the lives of individuals, and undoubtedly, the education sector has been highly affected by this situation and distance education applications have started to spread rapidly all over the world and in our country. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the views of students on the synchronous distance education applied in a foreign language (English) preparation program of a university during the pandemic process. The present study was designed according to the case study, one of the qualitative research methods. A questionnaire form, which was developed by the researchers and consisted of open-ended questions, was applied via Google Forms to the 78 preparatory – class students who attended the simultaneous distance education and voluntarily participated in the study. The collected data was analyzed thanks to content analysis. According to the findings of the study, it was concluded that the students generally preferred traditional face-to-face education to synchronous distance education; they used different metaphors for synchronous distance education; there were problems in the interaction dimension of synchronous distance education and the dimension of extra activities and homework was important in synchronous distance education.en_US
