dc.description.abstractAim: This study was conducted in order to evaluate treatment adherence in patients admitted to a community mental health center.Material and Methods: The sample of this descriptive study consisted of 100 patients who were registered at a community mental health center located in the city of Bartın between March and June 2016. Data were collected using by the Personal Information Form and the Medication Adherence Rating Scale. Data were evaluated using descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis tests and Spearman correlation analysis. Results: Mean age of the patients was 37.9±11.9. It was found that 54% of the patients had schizophrenia, 59% had knowledge about their medication, and 92% took their medication themselves. Among the patients, 66% of them attended the community mental health center a few days per week and 53% attended for more than 2 years. Mean of the medication adherence score was 7.96 ±1.78 and 69% of the patients showed high treatment adherence. Medication adherence did not significantly differ according to age, gender, marital status, illness, and frequency of attending the community mental health center (p>0.05). dc.description.abstractAmaç: Çalışma bir toplum ruh sağlığı merkezinde izlenen hastaların tıbbi tedaviye uyum durumlarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı tipte olan araştırma Mart–Haziran 2016 tarihleri arasında Bartın ilinde yer alan bir toplum ruh sağlığı merkezine kayıtlı 100 hasta ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Tıbbi Tedaviye Uyum Oranı Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Mann Whitney U testi, Kruskal-Wallis testi ve Spearman korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Yaş ortalaması 37,9±11,9 olan hastaların %54’ü şizofreni tanılı bireylerden oluşmakta, %59’u ilaçları konusunda bilgi sahibi ve çoğunluğu (%92) ilaçlarını kendisi almaktadır. Hastaların %66’sı toplum ruh sağlığı merkezine haftada birkaç gün ve %53’ü iki yıldan daha fazladır devam etmektedir. Hastaların tıbbi tedaviye uyum puan ortalamasının 7,96±1,78 olduğu ve hastaların %69’unun tıbbi tedaviye yüksek uyum gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
