dc.description.abstractBu makalede, klasik batı resim sanatında öne çıkan eserlerdeki tüfek imgesi merkeze alınmıştır. Bu konuda öne çıkan en önemli eserler seçilmiş, konuya bu eserler üzerinden yaklaşım geliştirilmiştir. Konu itibariyle ateşli silahların gelişimine kısa bir bakış gerçekleştirilmiş, tüfeklerin tarihi ile ilgili bilgiler aktarılmıştır. Böylece batı resim sanatında ateşli silahların görülmesi, öncelikle tarihsel anlamda ele alınmıştır. Bu eserler hakkındaki genel bilgiler derlenip, eserlerde yer alan tüfeklerin türleri incelenmiştir. Bu eserlerde yer alan silah imgelerinin muhtemel anlamları deşifre edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Silahlar, savaş konulu resimlerde başta olmak üzere devrim-toplumsal olaylar, av ve asker portreleri gibi konuların işlendiği resimlerde görülmektedir. Buradan hareketle silahların şiddet, savaş, güç, tehlike, başkaldırı, askerlik gibi çeşitli görünür anlamlarının yanında erkeklik, erk-iktidar, zenginlik gibi anlamlarının bir araştırılması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Batı Resim Sanatının dört büyük sanatçısının birer eseri ateşli silahlar açısından merkeze alınmıştır. Ele alınan eserler sırasıyla Rembrandt’ın Gece Devriyesi, Gainsboroughs’un Mr. And Mrs. Andrews, Goya’nın 3 Mayıs 1808 adlı resmi ve Delacroix’nın Halka Liderlik Eden Özgürlük adlı resmidir.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this article, the image of the rifle in the works which prominent in the classical western art is the focus. The most prominent artworks on this subject were selected and the approach was developed based on these artworks. A brief overview of the development of firearms has been realized, information about the history of rifle has been transferred. Thus, the appearance of firearms in the western painting has been primarily dealt with historically. General information about these works was compiled and the types of rifles in the works were examined. The possible meanings of the weapon images in these works have been tried to be deciphered. Weapons are seen in paintings on topics such as revolutionary-social events, hunting, and military portraits, especially in war-related paintings. From here, an investigation of the meanings such as masculinity, power, wealth, as well as various visible meanings of weapons such as violence, war, power, danger, rebellion and military service has been realized. In this work, one work of the each four great artists of the Western Painting was taken to the center in terms of firearms. These works are Rembrandt's Night Watch, Gainsborough's Mr. And Mrs. Andrews, Goya’s May 3, 1808 and Delacroix's painting titled Liberty Leading the Peopleen_US
