| dc.description.abstract | The incidence of nosocomial infections is higher than other sites of the hospitals at intensive care units (ICUs) because of high frequency of invasive interventions and multidrug resistant microorganism’s prevalence. The rate of nosocomial infections is about 5-10% at the hospital but this rate increased more than 20-25% in the ICUs. The most frequent nosocomial infections are ventilator-related pneumoniae, urinary tract infections, catheter-related bacteremia and surgical site infections. Ventilator-related pneumonia cases have the highest mortality risk among the nosocomial infections | |
| dc.description.abstract | Yoğun bakım üniteleri hastane geneline göre invaziv girişimlerin daha sık uygulandığı dirençli mikroorganizmaların daha çok izole edildiği yerlerdir ve bu nedenle buralarda hastane enfeksiyonları daha sıktır. Hastane genelinde nozokomiyal enfeksiyon oranları % 5-10 iken yoğun bakım ünitelerinde bu oran % 2025’lerin üzerine çıkabilmektedir. Ventilatör ilişkili pnömoniler, üriner sistem enfeksiyonları, bakteriyemi ve kateter enfeksiyonları ile cerrahi alan enfeksiyonları yoğun bakım ünitelerinde en sık görülen nozokomiyal enfeksiyonlardır. Ventilatör ilişkili pnömoniler aynı zamanda mortalitesi en yüksek nozokomiyal enfeksiyonlardır | |
