Özet

During the underwater archaeological survey by Akdeniz University, a shipwreck has been found off the town of Adrasan in the Kumluca district of Antalya. The ship probably sank succumbing to hidden shoals near the coastline. The cargo consists exclusively of Eastern Sigillata A plates and bowls and can be dated between the Late Hellenistic and the Early Roman Imperial period. In this context, it is one of a rare class of shipwrecks of which the cargo consists of a clearly defined ceramic class. This trade ship's wreck lies with its thousands of plates and bowls located both in the rocky and sandy areas and below the seabed at a depth of 38-46 m.
