dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to deeply analyze the international articles about hybrid learning model which means the combination of online and face to face education through meta synthesis analysis. Firstly, the main scope of the meta synthesis study was defined as hybrid learning model. Then, the criteria to include the articles to the study were defined. Then, the articles were analyzed to detect if they comply with criteria or not by two researchers. Thus, 46 articles about hybrid learning model which were published between 2020–2022 in “Scopus”, “Google Scholar”, “Ebscho” and “ERIC” were included to the study. The articles were analyzed in terms of their databases, countries, years, methods, aims and the results. The results of the articles about hybrid learning model were categorized under the titles as interaction, motivation, 21st century skills, pedagogical opportunities, needs, negative sides and suggestions. Thus, the results indicated that hybrid learning model increased the opportunities of interaction provided to the students and the motivation level of the students. Moreover, the hybrid learning model has contributed to the development of learning outcomes and 21st century skills such as self-regulation and being an independent learner. It also helped students increase their academic success level and has provided them with flexible lesson plans and a great variety of resources. On the other hand, hybrid learning model has decreased the social interaction between the students and has caused stress because of the problems caused by the technology. The educational institutions, the learners and the teachers have some needs for hybrid learning. In order to meet the needs of hybrid model and to solve the problems caused by the model, some suggestions were offered as the last theme of the study. © (2024), (T.C. Milli Egitim Bakanligi).
