dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to enhance parents' competencies in building a reading culture through the use of a family literacy program. The research was conducted within the framework of an action research design. For the action research process, a 15-week family literacy program was developed based on the Interactive Literacy Activities model. The study group consisted of 19 parents from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The Family Competency Scale in Building a Reading Culture was used as the data collection tool. Data were analyzed using statistical tests determined by normality distributions through the SPSS program. The results of the study indicate that the reading culture-building competencies of parents who participated in the family literacy program improved. Based on these findings, several recommendations have been proposed.
dc.description.abstractBu araştırma ile aile okuryazarlığı programı kullanılarak ebeveynlerin okuma kültürü oluşturma yeterliliklerini geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma eylem araştırması deseninde yürütülmüştür. Eylem araştırması süreci için Etkileşimli Okuryazarlık Etkinlikleri modeli temellerinde, 15 haftalık bir aile okuryazarlığı programı hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu düşük sosyo ekonomik göstergelere sahip 19 ebeveynden oluşturulmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak Okuma Kültürü Oluşturmada Aile Yeterlilik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler normallik dağılımlarına göre belirlenen istatistiksel testlerle SPSS programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda aile okuryazarlığı programına katılan ebeveynlerin okuma kültürü oluşturma yeterliliklerinin geliştiği görülmüştür. Bu sonuçtan yola çıkarak çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
