dc.description.abstractThis research is performed in descriptive nature in order to determine of information the Selçuk University students onsexually transmitted diseases. Environment of the research is constituted by 2787 students in total who are attending thesenior class in Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, School of Health, Faculty of Law and Facultyof Education during fall 2005-2006 academic years. Sampling 501 students were enrolled. Data was collected with thequestionnaire application under observation method after obtaining required permissions. According to results of thestudy, students indicated they know AIDS namely among the other types of STDs with the highest rate. The vast majorityof students 70.1% stated that they felt themselves insufficient about sex and requested training about this subject.According to the findings of this research, it is concluded that the students’ information on STDs was insufficient to beable to exhibit sound behaviors about this subject.
dc.description.abstractAraştırma, Sel ccedil;uk Uuml;niversitesi ouml;ğrencilerinin cinsel yolla bulaşan hastalıklar (CYBH) konusunda bilgi d uuml;zeylerinin incelenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılmıştır. Araştırma evrenini 2005-2006 eğitim- ouml;ğretim yılı g uuml;z d ouml;neminde Konya Sel ccedil;uk Uuml;niversitesi Tıp Fak uuml;ltesi, Diş Hekimliği Fak uuml;ltesi, Sağlık Y uuml;ksek Okulu, Hukuk Fak uuml;ltesi, Eğitim Fak uuml;ltesi, Mesleki Eğitim Fak uuml;ltesi son sınıflarına devam etmekte olan toplam 2787 ouml;ğrenci oluşturmuştur. Ouml;ng ouml;r uuml;len ouml;rneklem sayısı 558 ouml;ğrencidir. Ancak 501 ouml;ğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Veriler, gerekli izinler alındıktan sonra g ouml;n uuml;ll uuml; ouml;ğrencilerden g ouml;zlem altında anket uygulama y ouml;ntemiyle toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamında değerlendirilerek, istatistiksel analizlerde chi;2 ouml;nemlilik testi kullanılmıştır. Ouml;ğrenciler CYBH rsquo;den isim olarak en y uuml;ksek oranda AIDS rsquo;i belirtmişlerdir. Erkek ouml;ğrencilerin %36.1 rsquo;inin, kız ouml;ğrencilerin ise %3.9 rsquo;unun daha ouml;nce cinsel deneyim yaşadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Erkek ouml;ğrencilerin cinsel deneyim yaşama oranları kız ouml;ğrencilere g ouml;re anlamlı ouml;l ccedil; uuml;de daha fazla bulunmuştur (p lt;0.05). Ouml;ğrencilerin b uuml;y uuml;k ccedil;oğunluğu (%70.1) cinsel konularla ilgili bilgilerde kendilerini yetersiz hissettiklerini ve bu konuda eğitim almak istediklerini belirtmişlerdir. Araştırma bulgularına g ouml;re uuml;niversite ouml;ğrencilerinin CYBH konusundaki bilgilerinin, bu konuda sağlıklı davranışlar sergileyebilmeleri i ccedil;in yetersiz olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
