Cheyletiella is a highly contagious genus of mites that live on the skin of cats, dogs, and rabbits. It can cause pruritus and dandruff in infested animals, however, it is difficult to diagnose this dermatosis in unsuspected cases since it is usually asymptomatic. The rate of infestation in infested pet owners is 20%. The dermatosis is seen as erythematous, pruritic and some necrotic papules on contact regions with the animal. In this case report, our objective is to draw attention to Cheyletiella dermatosis by presenting a case in which Cheyletiella dermatitis developed after contact with an infested dog.en_US
