| dc.description.abstract | İkinci Dünya Savaşı dönemi, insanlık tarihindeki karanlık gölgelerden biriydi. Bu süreçte, savaşın acımasız etkileri sadece siperlerde değil, aynı zamanda sivil halkın yaşamlarında da derin izler bıraktı. Ancak savaşın sonrasında, dünya, bu acımasız gerçeklerle yüzleşmek adına Nürnberg'de kurulan tarihin ilk büyük uluslararası savaş suçu mahkemeleriyle tanıştı. Bu tez, Nürnberg Mahkemelerinin Türk kamuoyuna yansımalarına özel bir odak noktasıyla incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Tezin dört ana bölümü, bu çabada belirleyici bir rol oynayacaktır. Öncelikle, giriş bölümü, genel bir çerçeve sunarak, İkinci Dünya Savaşı'nın çalkantılı yıllarını ve küresel etkilerini anlamamıza yardımcı olacak. Birinci bölüm, mahkemelerin doğuşunu ve sürecini ele alacak, Nürnberg'de savaş suçlarına karşı nasıl bir uluslararası hukuki çerçeve oluşturulduğunu anlamamıza yardımcı olacak. Ancak belki de en önemlisi, ikinci bölüm, Nürnberg Mahkemelerinde yaşanan tüm tarihsel gelişmeleri Türk kamuoyuna yansıtarak, bu olayların Türkiye'deki algıları ve yorumlarına odaklanacaktır. Üçüncü bölümde ise mahkeme kararlarına dair incelemeler yapılacaktır. Dördüncü ve son bölüm, mahkeme eleştirilerini ve yorumlarını tartışarak, bu sürecin Türk kamuoyundaki etkilerini analiz edecektir. Analiz yapılırken gazete, dergi ve medya arşivlerini tarayarak elde edilen bilgiler ışığında, Nürnberg Mahkemeleri Türk toplumunda nasıl bir iz bıraktı, hangi tartışmalara sebep oldu ve hangi duyguları tetikledi sorularına cevap aranacaktır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The era of World War II was one of the darkest shadows in the history of humanity. During this period, the merciless effects of the war left deep marks not only in the trenches but also in the lives of the civilian population. However, following the war, the world was introduced to the first major international war crimes tribunals, established in Nuremberg to face these harsh realities. This thesis aims to specifically focus on examining the reflections of the Nuremberg Trials in the Turkish public opinion. The four main sections of the thesis will play a decisive role in this endeavor. Initially, the introductory section will provide a general framework, helping us to understand the turbulent years of World War II and its global effects. The first section will address the emergence and process of the courts, helping us understand how an international legal framework against war crimes was established in Nuremberg. Perhaps most importantly, the second section will reflect all the historical developments that occurred in the Nuremberg Trials to the Turkish public, focusing on the perceptions and interpretations in Turkey. The third section will conduct examinations of the court decisions. The fourth and final section will discuss the criticisms and comments on the courts, analyzing the impact of this process on Turkish public opinion. In conducting the analysis, questions about the impact of the Nuremberg Trials on Turkish society, the debates they caused, and the emotions they triggered will be explored, using information gathered from scanning newspapers, magazines, and media archives. | en_US |
