Orman ürünleri sanayi işletmelerinde iş kazalarının analizi: Düzce ili örneği

Özet
Bu çalışmada Düzce ilinde orman ürünleri sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerde çalışanların iş kazalarına maruz kalma durumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Düzce ilinde orman ürünleri sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerdeki 5029 çalışan çalışmanın evrenini oluşturmuştur. Oluşturulan anket formları Eylül 2023-Temmuz 2024 döneminde toplam 30 işletmede 405 çalışana uygulanmış ve 374 anket değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda; katılımcıların %82,9'unun iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda bilgi sahibi olduğu, %85'inin ise yapılan işle ilgili olarak kişisel koruyucu ekipman kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların %62,6'sı tarafından işletme genelinde son bir yılda iş kazası meydana geldiği belirtilmiştir. En sık yaşanan iş kazalarının ise kesik ve ezilme olarak gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir. İş kazalarının nedenleri değerlendirildiğinde katılımcılara göre en önemli yargının "Dalgınlık, dikkatsizlik ve yorgunluk halleri" olduğu belirlenmiştir. Katılımcılara göre iş kazalarını önlemek için yapılması gerekenler arasında en önemli yargının "Çalışanlara iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda eğitim verilmelidir" olduğu görülmüştür. İş kazalarının önlenmesi amacıyla çalışanlara ve işverenlere düzenli iş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimlerinin verilmesi, işyerlerinde kapsamlı risk analizlerinin yapılması ve alınan tedbirlerin düzenli olarak denetlenmesi halinde iş kazalarının önemli ölçüde azaltılabileceği ve güvenli bir çalışma ortamının sağlanabileceği öngörülmektedir.
This study aims to determine the work accident exposure of employees in enterprises operating in the forest products sector in Düzce province. For this purpose, 5029 employees in enterprises operating in the forest products sector in Düzce province constituted the universe of the study. The survey forms created were applied to 405 employees in a total of 30 enterprises in the period of September 2023-July 2024 and 374 surveys were evaluated. As a result of the study; It was determined that 82.9% of the participants had knowledge about occupational health and safety and 85% used personal protective equipment related to the work performed. 62.6% of the participants stated that a work accident occurred in the last year in the enterprise. It was determined that the most common work accidents occurred as cuts and bruises. When the causes of work accidents were evaluated, it was determined that the most important judgment according to the participants was "Inattention, carelessness and fatigue". According to the participants, the most important judgment among the things that should be done to prevent work accidents was "Employees should be trained on occupational health and safety". It is anticipated that work accidents can be significantly reduced and a safe working environment can be provided if regular occupational health and safety training is provided to employees and employers, comprehensive risk analyses are carried out in workplaces and the measures taken are regularly inspected in order to prevent work accidents.
