Özet
Takiyyüdd?n Ahmed b. Al? b. Abdilk?dir b. Muhammed el-Maqr?z? (1364-1442), who had a unique literary style and an effective history narration, and who is known for his historian identity, is one of the greatest historians of Islamic history. The successful writer of the Mamluk period wrote many different works on the field. One of Maqr?z?’s important works is his famous book Kit?b al-maw?i wa l-itib?r bi-ikr al-ia wa l-??r. This work is extremely important in terms of history, geography, religion history, biography, and institutional history; and it is like identity document of Islamic Period Egyptian History. In addition, al-Hia deals with the city history and geography of Egypt, and contains important information about the lives of individuals. The work also contains very important information about many subjects and the history of the madhhabs. The book, which conveys remarkable information about when the Sunni and Shiite thought in Egypt and North Africa began to spread and to what extent these thoughts were effective, is a resource to be consulted about the understanding of the madhhabs history of the region. The study identified a number of important facts about the emergence and effects of the madhhabs in Egypt and North Africa in al-Hitat. The author’s approach to addressing these issues and the methods he followed when describing them were assessed. In addition, madhhabs which played an active role in the formation of sectarian discipline in Egypt and North Africa, and their representatives were addressed. © 2019 Gazi Universitesi, Turk Kulturu ve Haci Bektas Veli.
