dc.description.abstractMany of the families with the handicapped children brush up against difficulties in terms of psychological, financial,family and social environment relationships. Responsibility of a handicapped child causes to be the mandatory changesin the family, and also may affects the family's social life participation. The purpose of this research is to assess ascomparative the social life participation of the families with the handicapped (physically and/or mentally) individualsin Duzce, and identify factors affecting and/or blocking their social life participation, and develop the solution suggestionsaccordingly. For this purpose, total 102 families with 31.4% mental, 30.4%, physical, 27.5% physical-mental handicappedindividuals have been involved in the study. As a result, it is found that the handicap type of child and education levelof parents’ affect significantly on their dreams in the future and plans of their families. However it is concluded that thefamily's income is not an important factor in the social participation of families.
dc.description.abstractEngelli ccedil;ocuğa sahip ailelerin bir ccedil;oğu, psikolojik, maddi, aile ve sosyal ccedil;evre ilişkiler bakımından g uuml; ccedil;l uuml;klerle karşı karşıya kalmaktadır. Engelli ccedil;ocuğun sorumluluğu aile i ccedil;inde zorunlu değişimlerin yaşanmasına neden olmakta ve ailenin toplumsal yaşama katılımını etkileyebilmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, D uuml;zce ilindeki bedensel engelli ve zihinsel engelli bireylere sahip ailelerin toplumsal yaşama katılımlarının karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirmek, engelli ailelerinin toplumsal yaşama katılımlarını etkileyen ve/veya engelleyen fakt ouml;rleri tespit etmek ve bu doğrultuda ccedil; ouml;z uuml;m ouml;nerileri geliştirmektir. Bu ama ccedil;la %31.4 zihinsel, %30.4 bedensel, %27.5 zihinsel-bedensel engelli bireye sahip toplam 102 aile ccedil;alışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Ccedil;alışma sonucunda, ccedil;ocuğun engel tipinin ve ailelerin eğitim d uuml;zeyinin ailelerin geleceğe y ouml;nelik hayallerinde ve planlarında anlamlı d uuml;zeyde bir etkisi olduğu bulunmuştur. Ancak aile gelirinin ailelerin toplumsal katılımında ouml;nemli bir fakt ouml;r olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
