Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e yönelik tutumları ile BİLSEM terk riskleri arasındaki ilişkisi ile BİLSEM'e yönelik tutumlarını ve BİLSEM terk risklerini etkileyen sosyo-demografik faktörleri incelemektir. Araştırma kesitsel tarama modeliyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılar 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Diyarbakır ili Bağlar, Kayapınar ve Yenişehir ilçelerindeki BİLSEM'lerde ortaokul ve lise düzeyinde eğitim alan 167 özel yetenekli öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Katılımcılara, Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği, Okul Terk Riski Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu uygulanmıştır. Katılımcılardan toplanan veriler SPSS 26 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada analizler yapılırken nicel değişkenlere ilişkin gruplara ilişkin normallik varsayımları sağlandığında parametrik testlerden; Bağımsız Örneklem T Testi veya Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) ile, normallik varsayımları sağlanmadığında ise nonparametrik testlerden; Mann Whitney U Testi veya Kruskal Wallis Varyans Analizi, ikili karşılaştırmalar için Post-Hoc Tukey HSD, Tamhane's T2 ve Bonferroni Düzeltmeli Mann Whitney U Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e yönelik tutumlarının olumlu olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca katılımcıların kayıtlı olduğu BİLSEM ile BİLSEM'e yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık vardır. Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM terk riskleri ile sosyo-demografik faktörler arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinde cinsiyet, kardeş sayısı, anne eğitim durumu, okul türü ve eğitim aldığı BİLSEM faktörleri arasında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı saptanmıştır. Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM tutumları ile BİLSEM terk riskleri arasında anlamlı düzeyde negatif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Buna göre BİLSEM'e yönelik olumlu tutuma sahip olan özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM terk risklerinin daha düşük olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the attitudes of gifted students towards BİLSEM and their risk of leaving BİLSEM and the socio-demographic factors affecting their attitudes towards BİLSEM and their risk of leaving BİLSEM. The research was conducted with a cross-sectional survey model. The participants consisted of 167 gifted students who received middle and high school education at BİLSEMs in Bağlar, Kayapınar and Yenişehir districts of Diyarbakır province in the 2023-2024 academic year. Attitude Scale towards Science and Art Centers, School Dropout Risk Scale and Personal Information Form were applied to the participants. The data collected from the participants were analyzed with SPSS 26 program. When the normality assumptions for the groups related to the quantitative variables were met, Independent Sample T Test or One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used as parametric tests, and when the normality assumptions were not met, Mann Whitney U Test or Kruskal Wallis Analysis of Variance were used as noparametric tests, and Post-Hoc Tukey HSD, Tamhane's T2 and Mann Whitney U Test with Bonferroni Correction were used for pairwise comparisons. According to the results of the study, it was found that the attitudes of gifted students towards BİLSEM were positive. In addition, there is a significant difference between the BİLSEM in which the participants are enrolled and their attitudes towards BİLSEM. When the relationship between gifted students' SAC dropout risks and socio-demographic factors was examined, it was found that there was no significant difference between gender, number of siblings, mother's education level, school type and SAC factors. It was found that there was a significant negative relationship between gifted students' BİLSEM attitudes and BİLSEM dropout risks. Accordingly, it was concluded that gifted students who have positive attitudes towards BİLSEM have a lower risk of leaving BİLSEM.
