Özet
Bu çalışma sporcuların sporda milliyetçiliğe ilişkin tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada araştırmacı tarafından sporda milliyetçilik tutum ölçeği geliştirilmiş ve sporcu tutumları çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Sporda milliyetçilik tutum ölçeği; 9'u menfi milliyetçilik, 7'si coşkulu milliyetçilik, 2'si yapıcı milliyetçilik olmak üzere toplam 18 maddelik 3 boyuttan oluşan bir ölçektir. Ölçek faktörlerinin güvenirlik katsayıları menfi milliyetçilik boyutunda .93, coşkulu milliyetçilik boyutunda .92, yapıcı milliyetçilik boyutunda .71 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ölçek güvenirliği ise .94 (Cronbach Alpha) bulunmuştur. Çalışmaya katılan sporcuları 364'ü erkek, 181' kadın olmak üzere toplam 545 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma grubunu tutum düzeylerine ve demografik özelliklerine bakılarak milliyetçiliğe ilişkin tutumları ölçülmek istenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler normal dağılım gösterdiğinden çalışmada parametrik testlerden yararlanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre kişilerin, milliyetçilik tutumlarının orta düzeyde olduğu ve menfi milliyetçilik boyutunda yaş değişkeni, millilik durumu ve okudukları bölümler açısından anlamlı bir düzeyde farklılık gösterdiği (p<0.5); diğer değişkenler açısından anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşma olmadığı tespit edilmiştir (p>0.5). Araştırmanın sonucunda alana ve araştırmacılara çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
This study is conducted to determine the attitudes of sportsman towards nationalism in sports. In this study, the attitude scale of nationalism in sports is developed by the researcher and the attitudes of the sportsman are investigated depending on the variables. The attitude scale of nationalism in sports consists of three dimensions, to illustrate; negative nationalism (nine items), enthusiastic nationalism (seven items), and constructive nationalism (two items) with 18 items in total. The reliability scores of the scale factors are calculated as follows; .93 in negative nationalism dimension, .92 in enthusiastic nationalism dimension, and .71 in the constructive nationalism dimension. The reliability of the scale is found to be coefficient .94 (Cronbach Alpha). 545 people 364 men and 181 women who are currently studying at the faculty of sports sciences participated in the study. The attitude of the participants towards nationalism is investigated depending on the participants' demographic characteristics and attitude level. Parametric tests are used in the study as the obtained data showed a normal distribution. According to the results of the study, it is found that the nationalism attitudes of the people are at a moderate level. As for negative nationalism, there is a significant difference in terms of age, nationality status and department variables (p<0.5).However: there is no significant difference in terms of other variables. (p>0.5). This study presents various suggestions and implications both to the field and to other researchers.
