KPSS COĞRAFYA ÖĞRETMENLİK ALAN BİLGİSİ TESTİ (ÖABT) SORU DAĞILIMLARININ İNCELENMESİ

Özet
Kamu Personeli Seçme Sınavı (KPSS) Türkiye’deki en önemli sınavlardan biridir. Bu sınav ÖSYM tarafından her yıl düzenli olarak yapılmaktadır. A grubu memurluktan öğretmen atamalarına kadar her türlü memur atamasında KPSS dikkate alınmaktadır. Eğitim fakültesi mezunları KPSS için genel kültürgenel yetenek, eğitim bilimleri ve Öğretmenlik Alan Bilgisi Testi (ÖABT) olmak üzere üç ayrı oturuma katılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada coğrafya öğretmenliği ÖABT sınavında soru dağılımları incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı coğrafya öğretmen adayları için oldukça önemli olan ÖABT sınavının detaylarını ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca eğitim fakülteleri Türkçe ve Sosyal Bilimler Eğitimi Bölümü coğrafya öğretmenliği ile Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi coğrafya bölümleri dersleriyle ÖABT coğrafya sınav sorularının uyumlu olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmayla coğrafya öğretmenliği adayları ve coğrafya öğretimi açısından alana önemli katkı yapılacağı düşünülmektedir. Çalışma üç aşamadan oluşmaktadır. Önce alanla ilgili literatür araştırılmıştır. Sonra son beş coğrafya ÖABT sınavında sorulan toplam 250 soru tek tek incelenmiş ve alanlarına göre tasnif edilmiştir. Son olarak da rapor oluşturulmuştur. Çalışma betimsel tarama şeklinde yürütülmüştür. Çalışma sonucunda coğrafya ÖABT sınavında çıkan soruların dağılışları ortaya konulmuştur. Soruların genelde %45 civarında beşeri ve ekonomik coğrafyadan, %35 civarında fiziki coğrafyadan, %20’sinin de öğretmenlik alan bilgisi şeklinde dağılış gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Çıkan soruların hem fiziki coğrafya hem de beşeri ve ekonomik coğrafya bakımından daha detaylı incelemesi yapıldığında eğitim fakülteleri Türkçe ve Sosyal Bilimler Eğitimi Bölümü ders dağılışlarıyla uyumlu olduğu ancak Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi coğrafya bölümleri dersleriyle tam olarak örtüşmediği sonucuna varılmıştır.
KPSS is one of the most important exams in Turkey. This exam is regulated by OSYM regularly every year. The points that has been gotten from Public Personnel Selection Exam (PPSE) is taken into consideration the appointments of any kind of civil servants from A group servant to the teacher appointments. The faculty of education graduates participate in PPSE, particularly in three sessions; liberal education-general ability, educational sciences, and Teaching Subject Matter Knowledge Test (TSMK). In this study, the distribution of geography teaching questions of TSMK exam was examined. The aim of the study is to reveal the details of the TSMK exam which is very important for geography teacher candidates. In addition, this study aims to determine, whether the courses of faculties of education in Turkish and Social Sciences Education Department of geography and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of geography questions are compatible with TSMK geography exam question. It is expected that this study will make very important contribution in terms of geography teaching and to the geography teacher candidates. The study consists of three phases. First, the literature has been researched that related to the field. After that, total of 250 questions that were asked in the last five geography TSMK exams were examined and classified according to their fields. Finally, the report was prepared. The study was conducted as a descriptive survey. As a result of the study, the distributions of the questions of TSMK geography exam were revealed. It was determined that, in general 45% of questions from human and economic geography, 35% from physical geography and 20% from teaching area. When the questions were examined in terms of both physical and human geography and economic geography in details, it was concluded that the faculties of education were coherent with the courses of Turkish and Social Sciences Education, but not with the geography departments of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
