Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı basketbol sporcularının mental dayanıklılık ve kişilik özellikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemi kapsamında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Model olarak ise tarama modeli işe koşulmuştur. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu İstanbul ilinde 2023 yılında basketbol antrenmanlarına devam eden U16 ligindeki 407 sporcudan oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak; 8 adet demografik bilgiden oluşan Kişisel Bilgi Formu, 13 adet kapalı uçlu sorudan oluşan Mental Dayanıklılık Ölçeği ve on sorudan oluşan On - Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği olmak üzere toplam 23 adet sorudan oluşan form kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel veriler yüzde(%), frekans (f), aritmetik ortalama X ̅ ve standart sapma SS, Perason Korelasyon Analizi, Bağımsız Gruplar t Testi ve ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; kadınların Mental Dayanıklılıklarının ve kişilik ölçeği bağlamında dışa dönüklük skorlarının erkeklerden daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca sporcuların Mental Dayanıklılıklarının anne ve baba eğitim seviyelerine göre ailesi yüksek eğitim seviyesinde olan sporcular lehine fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. Mental Dayanıklılık ile kişilik özellikleri arasındaki anlamlı ilişki olduğu ortaya çıkan bir diğer sonuçtur.
The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between mental toughness and personality characteristics of basketball players. The study has been conducted withinthescope of quantitative research methodology, employing a survey model. The study group of there search consists of 407 athletes in the U16 league who continue their basketball training in Istanbul in 2023. The data collection in strum entsused in the research include a Personal Information Form consisting of 10 demographic questions, a Mental Endurance Scale consisting of 13 closed-ended questions, and a Ten-Item Personality Scale consisting of 10 questions. Descriptive data percentage (%), frequency (f), arithmetic mean (X̅), andstandarddeviation (SS), as well as Pearson Correlation Analysis, Independent Groups t Test, and ANOVA test wereem ployed in the data analysis. According to the research results, it was observed that the mental resilience of female sandtheirextra version scores in the context of personality trait sarehigherthanthose of males. Furthermore, a significantdifference in favor of athletes withparent shaving a hig here ducation level was determined concerning their mental resilience. Another signifi cantresult revealed in there search is the meaning fulrelation ship between mental resilien ceand personality traits.
