dc.description.abstractUluslararas› ö¤renci hareketlili¤inin ö¤renci gönderen ve a¤›rlayan ev sahibi ülkelerin e¤itim sistemine, ekonomisine, uluslararas› bilimsel proje ortakl›klar›na ve üniversitelerinin kalitesine pozitif katk›lar› vard›r. Uluslararas› ö¤renci hareketlili¤i, özellikle ö¤renci a¤›rlayan ev sahibi ülkenin ekonomisine do¤- rudan önemli katk› sa¤lamaktad›r. Bu nedenle, uluslararas› ö¤renci hareketlili¤inden daha fazla pay almak isteyen ülkeler aras›nda k›yas›ya rekabet yaflanmaktad›r. Türkiye de yüksekö¤retim sektöründeki potansiyelini de¤erlendirerek pazar pay›n› art›rmak çabas›ndad›r. Bu kapsamda, bu çal›flman›n amac›, uluslararas› ö¤renci hareketlili¤inde Türkiye’nin mevcut durumunu kapsaml› bir flekilde ortaya koymak ve ilgililere bu kapsamda önerilerde bulunmakt›r. Araflt›rmada, 2000–2012 y›llar›nda Türkiye’deki ve dünyadaki ö¤renci hareketlili¤indeki e¤ilim ve 2013 y›l›nda Türkiye’ye gelen uluslararas› ö¤renci say›lar› incelenmifltir. Sonuç olarak, Türkiye’nin yüksekö¤retim sektöründeki uluslararas› ö¤renci hareketlili¤inde önemli bir yere sahip oldu¤u söylenebilir. Bunun yan›nda, Türkiye’ye en çok uen_US
dc.description.abstractInternational student's mobility has positive effect on higher education system, economy, partnership of international scientific project and quality of the universities. International student's mobility, particularly, has significant direct effect on the economy of the host country. Therefore, competition among the host countries which effort to get bigger share in this market is intense. Turkey is one of those countries which effort to increase the number of international students it host. In this framework, the aim of this study is to identify the present position of the Turkey in the international higher education market and to make suggestions for the future. In this study, firstly, trends international student's mobility in 2000-2012 and secondly, international students who came to Turkey for higher education in 2013 were evaluated. Results of this study indicate that Turkey has a critical position among both home and host countries in the higher education sector. Another important finding is that Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Cyprus are the countries which send most international students come to Turkey.en_US
