| dc.description.abstract | Kalsifik stilohyoid ligamentin veya stiloid proses elangasyonunun neden olduğu kulak, boğaz, boyun ağrısı, yutma güçlüğü ve boğazda yabancı cisim hissi gibi kompleks belirtiler Eagle tarafından tanımlanmıştır ve Eagle Sendromu olarak adlandırılır. Tanı sıklıkla tonsiller fossada stiloid prosesin palpasyonu ve üç boyutlu bilgisayarlı tomografi (3B-BT) ile konulur. Eagle Sendromunun primer tedavisi cerrahidir. Stiloid proses intraoral veya eksternal yaklaşımla kısaltılır. Kırk dokuz yaşında Eagle Sendromu semptomatolojisi ile başvuran hasta sunulmuş ve literatür taraması yapılmıştır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | A complex of symptoms, depending on calcified stylohyoid ligament or elongated styloid process, such as ear, throat, neck pain, dysphagia and foreign body sensation were described by Eagle, and it is called Eagle’s syndrome. Diagnosis can usually be based on physical examination by digital palpation of the styloid process in the tonsillar fossa and three-dimentional computed tomography. The treatment of Eagle’s syndrome is primarily surgical. The styloid process can be shortened through an intraoral or external approach. We report a 49-year-old woman with the symptomatology of Eagle’s syndrome and literature review. | |
