Graft copolymerization of polymers is an effective way to mix the characteristics of two or more kinds of polymers in a single unit. Presently, graft copolymerization is extensively researched as a helpful means for the modification of characteristics of natural biopolymers to obtain newer polymeric materials with hybrid properties. There are numerous factors involved in grafting biopolymers. Several of the many variables that control grafting will be discussed, including the nature of the backbone, monomer, solvent, initiator, additives, temperature, etc. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
