Özet
This paper presents the investigations of a half bridge sub-module (HBSM) based seven level modular multilevel converter distribution static synchronous compensator (MMCDSTATCOM) performance under the unbalanced and faulty system conditions in low voltage microgrids. The phase shifted carrier PWM (PSC-PWM) method was used with capacitor voltage balancing algorithm as an inner control and the phase angle control algorithm was used as an outer control for MMC-DSTATCOM. The performance of MMC-DSTATCOM is investigated in MATLAB/Simulink for various simulations such as reactive power compensation, unbalanced and faulty grid conditions. © 2020 IEEE.
