dc.description.abstractAhşap; fiziksel, mekanik ve teknolojik özellikleri sebebiyle kazandığı üstünlüklerden dolayı nedeni ile peyzaj sektörü için önemli bir donatı malzemesidir. Renk, doku ve form çeşitliliği, hafifliği, işlenme kolaylığı, diğer malzemelerle birlikte kullanılabilirliği, doğa ile uyumu, ekonomik ve geri dönüşümü olan bir malzeme olması nedenleriyle tercih edilmekte; birçok donatı elemanında tercih edilebilirliğini arttırmaktadır. Bu nedenlerle de birçok donatı elemanında ana ve yardımcı malzeme olarak ahşap kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye’de peyzaj sektöründe ahşap malzeme kullanımına ilişkin mevcut durumu ortaya koymaktır. Bulgular, ahşabın peyzaj sektöründe yeterince tanınmadığını ve bu nedenle kullanılmadığını göstermiştir. Sonuçta, ahşap malzeme seçiminin bilgi temelinde yapılması ve ahşap malzeme kullanımının artırılmasına ilişkin öneriler geliştirilmiştir.Wood, having better values than the alternative materials due to its physical, mechanical and technological properties, is an important structural material for landscape. It is preferred more than other materials because of its variations in color, texture and form, easy processing ability, capability of being harmonious with the other materials, nature-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and ability for recycling. Hence, it is contemporarily used as a main or an auxiliary structural material for landscape construction elements. The main purpose of the work is to reveal the current situation of the use of wood materials in the landscape sector in Turkey. The results show that wood is not well known in the landscape applications and is therefore not used. As a result, proposals have been developed to make the selection of wood materials based on information and to increase the use of wood materials.
