The research was carried out as a randomized controlled type experimental study in order to determine the effect of karaoke activity applied to pediatric patients on pain and anxiety levels during bloodletting. The research was carried out in Bilecik Training and Research Hospital Pediatrics Service, Pediatric Surgery Service and Pediatric Blood Collection Unit between December 2021 and March 2022. The sample of the study consisted of 80 children (karaoke activity=40, control group=40) who agreed to participate in the study as a result of the power analysis and met the sample selection criteria. The distribution of the children according to the groups was made randomly. Children in the experimental group were given a karaoke activity during the bloodletting process; The children in the control group only underwent routine bloodletting. In data collection, "Personal Information Form" was used to determine the sociodemographic characteristics of children and parents, "Wong Baker Scale/Pain Face Rating Scale" was used to measure the level of pain during the procedure, and "Child Anxiety Scale" was used to evaluate the anxiety level that occurred during the procedure. The analysis of the data obtained from the study was made through the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 package program. When the pain levels of the children in the experimental and control groups were evaluated during the procedure; "Wong Baker Facial Expression Rating Scale" scores were found to be significantly lower in the karaoke group than in the control group (p<0.05). When the anxiety levels were evaluated, the "Child Anxiety Scale" scores were found to be significantly lower in children who underwent karaoke activity than in the control group (p<0.05). As a result; It has been observed that the karaoke activity applied during the bloodletting process in children reduces the level of pain and anxiety. According to the results of the research; It is recommended to use karaoke activity as a non-pharmacological method in reducing the pain and anxiety level of children. Keywords: Anxiety, Bloodletting, Karaoke, Nursing, Pain, Pediatrics.
