Özet
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, en uzun sınır komşusu Suriye ile belli dönemlerde birtakım sorunlar yaşamıştır. Bu sorunların en büyüğü de Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin Fırat ve Dicle nehirleri üzerine baraj yapma kararı almasıyla başlamıştır. Bu karar Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile Suriye arasında “Su Sorunu” olarak adlandırılan problemin temelini oluşturdu. Suriye, Uluslararası platformlarda sürekli Türkiye karşıtı söylemler ve eylemlerde bulundu. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile yaşadığı su sorununda koz olarak terörü destekleme yoluna da gitti. Topraklarını Türkiye aleyhine faaliyet gösteren bütün terör örgütlerine açtı. Bu çalışmada su sorunu ve bu sorundan kaynaklı başka sorunların ortaya çıkması ve gelişimi incelendi. Elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek bir değerlendirmede bulunuldu.
Turkish Republic, in certain periods, has faced certain problems with its border Syria. One of the biggest problem has started with Turkish Republic’s decision on constructing a dam on Euphrates and Tigris Rivers. This situation has underlain the problem called ‘’Water Issue’’ between Turkish Republic and Syria. Syria has always made statements against Turkey at universal platforms. In addition, Syria has supported terrorism because of the water issue; opening its doors to terror organizations that are specifically against Turkey. The study reviews the problems related to and caused by water issue and makes evaluations by analyzing the obtained data.
