Özet
Sermimar Sinan, 99 yıl yaşamıştır. Ömrünün ilk yarısını yeniçeri ocağında farklı kademelerde geçirmiştir. Bu dönemde asker olarak katıldığı seferlerde, gittiği yerlerdeki yapıları gözlemlemiş, öğrendiği bilgilerle kendine has yöntemler geliştirmiş, idarecilerin ve padişahların ilgisini çekmiştir. Başarılarından dolayı Ser Mimaran-ı Hassa yani saray mimarlarının başı ünvanına yükseltilmiş, ömrünün kalan yarısını bu ünvanla devlete hizmet ederek geçirmiştir. Osmanlı Devleti'nin egemen olduğu topraklarda çok sayıda eser bırakmıştır. Yapılarında depremlere karşı dayanıklı tasarımlar, özel harçlar, kendine has hesaplama yöntemleri, akustik kubbe tasarımları gibi sayılamayacak pek çok yeniliğe öncülük etmiştir. Osmanlı Mimarîsi'ni gelebileceği en üst seviyeye taşımıştır. Ancak Mimar Sinan'ın başarılarla dolu yaşamının ürünü olan uzun ömürlü eserler, yapım teknikleri ve yöntemleri ne Türkiye'de ne de Dünya'da yeterince bilinmemektedir. Çalışmada, literatür taraması sonucunda elde edilmiş olan bilgiler, 2018 Deprem Yönetmeliği'nin ilgili maddeleri ile karşılaştırılacak, zamana meydan okuyan Sinan yapılarının arkasında yatan nedenler ortaya çıkarılması ve ilgili araştırmacıların kulanımına sunulması hedeflenmektedir. Sermimar Sinan lived for 99 years. He spent the first half of his life in the Janissary Corps at different levels. During this period, during the campaigns he participated in as a soldier, he observed the structures in the places he visited, developed his own methods with the information he learned, and attracted the attention of administrators and sultans. Due to his successes, he was promoted to the title of Ser Mimaran-ı Hassa, that is, the head of the palace architects, and he spent the remaining half of his life serving the state with this title. He left many works in the lands ruled by the Ottoman Empire. It has pioneered many innovations in its buildings, such as earthquake-resistant designs, special mortars, unique calculation methods, and acoustic dome designs. He took Ottoman Architecture to the highest level it could reach. However, the long-lasting works, construction techniques and methods that are the product of Mimar Sinan's life full of success are not well known neither in Turkey nor in the world. In the study, the information obtained as a result of the literature review will be compared with the relevant articles of the 2018 Earthquake Regulation, and it is aimed to reveal the reasons behind the time-defying Sinan structures and to make them available to relevant researchers.
