dc.description.abstractXVIII. yüzyıl sonlarında Osmanlı Devleti'nde askeri alanda gerçekleşen ıslahatlarla ordunun modernleşmesi sağlık alanına da aksetmiş ve XIX. yüzyıla gelindiğinde tıpta yaşanan modernleşme hız kazanarak askerlerin sağlığını korumak amacıyla modern askeri hastaneler tesis edilmiştir. Bu tez çalışmasının ana hedefi, XIX. yüzyıl başlarında hizmete giren askeri hastanelerden biri olan ve Asakir-i Mansure Hastanesi olarak da bilinen Maltepe Askeri Hastanesi'ni incelemektir. II. Mahmud'un hükümdarlığı sırasında Rami ve Davudpaşa kışlalarındaki askerlere hizmet etmek amacıyla kurulan bu hastane, bahsi geçen iki kışla arasında inşa edilmiştir. 1827 tarihinde açılan Maltepe Askeri Hastanesi, 1922 tarihinde lağvedilmiştir. Bu hastanenin geniş çaplı olarak farklı yönleriyle ele alınması Osmanlı tıbbının modernleşme sürecine kurumsal bağlamda bir örnek teşkil edecektir.en_US
dc.description.abstractAt the end of the 18th century, military reforms carried out in the Ottoman Empire also influenced the field of healthcare, and by the 19th century, the modernization of medicine accelerated. As part of efforts to protect the health of soldiers, modern military hospitals were established. The main objective of this thesis is to examine the Maltepe Military Hospital, also known as the Asakir-i Mansure Hospital, which was one of the military hospitals that began operating in the early 19th century. Founded during the reign of Sultan Mahmud II to serve the soldiers stationed at the Rami and Davudpaşa Barracks, the hospital was built between these two military complexes. The Maltepe Military Hospital, which was established in 1827, was dissolved in 1922. A comprehensive study of this hospital from various aspects will provide an institutional example of the modernization process of Ottoman medicine.en_US
