Cities are the areas where the population, construction, industry and the rate of consumption that develops along with all these are the highest. While urbanization and industrialization increase the quality of life and opportunities of the society, they also bring many negative effects. One of the most important of these effects and the biggest problem of recent years is climate change. Our cities are responsible for approximately 70% of greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. In addition, urban green infrastructure has an important role in reducing the carbon burden of the city. However, the carbon sequestration and storage potential in urban areas is neglected as they are very low compared to natural areas. In particular, the ratio of soil organic carbon, which contains three-quarters of the carbon in terrestrial ecosystems, in urban areas is not considered. Regional and local analysis of soil organic carbon (TOC) stocks is very important for land use planning. Within the scope of this study, TOC maps will be created by determining the amount of soil organic carbon for the city of Düzce, which has been urbanizing for the last 30 years. In this context, soil samples were taken from 0-30 cm depth from randomly determined sampling points and subjected to laboratory analysis. As a result of the data obtained, Duzce city TOK Map was created. It is aimed that the obtained map will be a base in the planning and design stages within the scope of mitigating global climate change, in the presentation of solution proposals that support the green infrastructure system and in reducing the negative effects on the ecosystem. Keywords: Carbon stock, Soil Organic Carbon, Ecosystem Regulation Services
