Nowadays, new manufacturing methods are being developed depending on very rapid technological advances. One of these groundbreaking new methods is Additive Manufacturing. This new method developed is famously recognized as three-dimensional (3D) printing. This method attracts a lot of attention due to its easy applicability to different industrial areas (automotive, aerospace, and defence). Unlike conventional manufacturing techniques, 3D printing has no geometric restrictions, which is one of its main benefits. However, due to the fact that this manufacturing method is relatively new, different difficulties are encountered during its application in many industrial areas. One of these issues is that the fabricated parts surface finish is not up to the mark. Studies in this area are also carried out about the post processing of 3D printed products. Therefore, in this study, the current literature on post processing treatments of Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printed products has been reviewed. FDM is a method that is frequently used in this industry due to its simplicity and low cost. Moreover, FDM 3D printers provide important opportunities for both personal and industrial use. On the other hand, FDM has some restrictions due to their poor dimensional accuracy and surface roughness. As a result of the literature review, post-processing methods using in FDM 3D printed products that may be suitable for application areas has been determined. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.en_US
