Özet
Bu çalışmada, fidan boyutunun dar yapraklı dişbudağın (DYD, Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl. ) arazi başarısına etkisi taban arazideki suni gençleştirme alanında araştırıldı. 1+0 yaşlı fidanlar 40, 60, 80, 100 ve 120 adet/m2 yastık sıklıklarından sağlandı. Başlangıçtaki ortalama fidan boyları yastık sıklığına bağlı olarak sırasıyla 72, 59, 53, 44 ve 39 cm kadardı. Deneme, rastlantı bloklarına göre Akyazı-Adapazarı yöresinde kuruldu. Her işlemde 20 adet fidan içeren sıralar deney ünitesi olarak alındı. Dört yılsonunda tüm işlemlerde benzer ve oldukça yüksek yaşama oranı (%98) belirlendi. Farklı boyutlardaki fidanlar ilk dört yılda benzer çap (22 mm) ve boy (177 cm) artımı yaptı.
In this study, effects of seedling size on the early field performance of narrow-leaved ash. (NLA) growing on a bottomland clear-cut site were investigated Akyazı, Adapazarı. One-year old seedlings grown in different seedbed densities (40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 seedlings/m2) were obtained from Duzce Forest Nursery. Depending on the seedbed density, mean initial heights of the seedlings were 72, 58, 53, 44, and 38 cm, respectively. A randomized block design with three replication was employed. Each row was an experimental unit and contained 20 seedlings. Survival and growth were evaluated at the end of four growing season. The survival was high (98%) in all treatments. Seedling size had no significant effect on the 4th year-diameter (22 mm) and height (177 cm).
