dc.description.abstractEnvironmental art is popular and on the agenda just like Street art today as Outdoor Art. Festivals and workshops are held on this subject. Environmental art, like other alternative art movements in the 1960s, emerged as an anti-capitalist attitude resulting from the questioning of the existing art system, and non-tradability and ephemerality form the basis of these works. In Environmental art, which has a rich variety of materials and expressions, showing parallels with the alternative movements of the period (Minimalism, Arte Povera, Conceptual Art, etc.), there have been artists who directly turned to natural events and processes. Focusing on nature itself and its cycle, these artists emphasized the parallels and contradictions in the relationship of man with nature in their works and brought a critical approach to the separation of art from life and man from nature. Even more so today, unplanned urbanization, global warming and current environmental problems have become the main topics of this art movement. This study aims to question the connections of human beings with art-life-nature through the works of a number of artists focusing on nature's own process and events within the broad concept of the Environmental art.
dc.description.abstractÇevresel Sanat, ‘Outdoor Art / Kapı dışı sanatı’ olarak günümüzde tıpkı Sokak Sanatı gibi popüler ve gündemdedir. Bu konuda festivaller yapılmakta, çalıştaylar düzenlenmektedir. 1960’lardaki diğer alternatif sanat hareketleri gibi Çevresel Sanat da mevcut sanat sisteminin sorgulanması sonucunda anti-kapitalist bir yaklaşım olarak ortaya çıkmış ve geçicilik ve alınıp satılamama bu çalışmaların temelini oluşturmuştur. Döneminin alternatif hareketleriyle de (Minimalizm, Arte Povera, Kavramsal Sanat vb.) paralellikler gösteren ve zengin bir malzeme ve ifade çeşitliliğine sahip olan Çevresel Sanat içinde doğrudan doğa olaylarına ve doğal süreçlere yönelen sanatçılar olmuştur. Doğanın kendisine, döngüsüne odaklanan bu sanatçılar, insanın doğayla ilişkisindeki paralellikleri ve çelişkileri çalışmalarında vurgulamışlar ve sanatın hayattan, insanın doğadan kopmasına eleştirel bir yaklaşım getirmişlerdir. Daha da günümüze doğru çarpık kentleşme, küresel ısınma ve güncel çevresel sorunlar bu sanat hareketinin temel konuları haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışma, geniş bir kavram olan Çevresel Sanat içinde doğanın kendi sürecine ve olaylarına odaklanan sınırlı sayıdaki sanatçı örnekleri üzerinden insanın sanat-hayat-doğa bağlantılarını sorgulamayı amaçlamaktadır.
