MEDIATOR EFFECT GENERAL SELF-EFFİCACY IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILIENCE AND LIFE SATISFACTION IN THE COLLEGE STUDENTS

Özet

In this study, the mediating effect of general self-efficacy on the relationship between psychological resilience and life satisfaction of university students was investigated. The sample of the study consists of a total of 409 university students, 170 girls and 237 boys, studying at Düzce University. In the study, data were collected Short Resilience Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale. The data were analyzed by Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Pearson Correlation analysis using SPSS 26 statistical analysis program and by performing mediator variable analysis using Process Macro (Model 4). The results obtained from the study showed that there were positive and significant relationships between psychological resilience and general self-efficacy, psychological resilience and life satisfaction, and general self-efficacy and life satisfaction variables. In addition, it was concluded that general self-efficacy had a mediating effect between psychological resilience and life satisfaction.
