dc.description.abstractIn this study, Georgian folk tales that have been passed down by word of mouth since ancient times in the region called Machahal, which consists of six villages established in the valley at the foothills of Lesser Caucasus Mountains in the Borçka district of Artvin province, and the environments in which these tales were told, such as collective work and house sittings, are examined. It is a fact that as a culture of social assistance and solidarity, collective work contributes greatly to the completion of work in regions with abundant snowfall. In addition to the educational and guiding effect of folk tales, poems and epics, which make these collective works colorful, attractive and entertaining, on society, their role as cultural carriers is also remarkable. In this study, stories, fables or religious narratives, poems, quatrains, prayers and tales belonging to this culture that are carried through language and have literary qualities, which used in the duets at weddings and are told by storytelling aunts and uncles in the collective work of men, in the collective work of women and in house sittings, will be discussed. Today, the weakening of the collective work culture by paid workers coming from outside Machahal and the elimination of the excitement of the talk councils gatherings by television and the internet have also negatively affected the production and transmission of folk literature products in Machahal. In this respect, the study is also important in terms of identifying examples of local folk literature that are on the verge of weakening and perhaps disappearing.
dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, Artvin ilinin Borçka ilçesine bağlı Kafkas dağı eteklerindeki vadide kurulu altı köyden oluşan Macahel adlı bölgede eskiden beri dilden dile dolaşan Gürcüce halk hikâyeleri ve bu hikâyelerin anlatıldığı ortamlar olan imeceler ve ev oturmaları incelenmektedir. Sosyal yardımlaşma ve dayanışma kültürü olarak imecelerin kar yağışının bol olduğu bölgede işlerin bitirilmesine büyük katkı sağladığı bir gerçektir. Bu imeceleri renklendirip cazip ve eğlenceli hale getiren halk hikâyelerinin, şiirlerin ve destanların toplum üzerinde eğitici ve yönlendirici etkisi yanında kültür taşıyıcılığı rolü de dikkate değerdir. Dil üzerinden taşınan bu kültürün erkeklerin katıldığı imecelerde, kadınların katıldığı imecelerde ve ev oturmalarında hikâyeci teyzeler ve amcalar tarafından anlatılan, düğünlerde atışmalarda kullanılan edebi özellik taşıyabilme potansiyeline sahip hikâyeler, fabl tarzı ya da dini içerikli anlatılar, şiirler, maniler, dualar ve masallar bu çalışmada ele alınacaktır. Günümüzde Macahel dışından gelen ücretli işçilerin imece kültürünü zayıflatması ve televizyonların ve internetin sohbet meclislerinin heyecanını ortadan kaldırması, Macahel’deki halk edebiyatı ürünlerinin üretilmesini ve aktarılmasını da olumsuz etkilemiştir. Bu bakımdan çalışma, zayıflamaya, belki de kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş mahalli halk edebiyatı örneklerini tespit etmek bakımından da önem arz etmektedir.
