Öğe Nurses’ Occupational Professional Life Quality and Influencing Factors(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2019) Erenoğlu, Rabiye; Tambağ, Hatice; Can, Rana; Kabakoğlu, HacerAim: Thisdescriptive research was performed with the aim of determining the workingquality and related influencing factors for the nurses who work at The PublicHospital. Material and Methods: It was planned to reach all of the nurses who accept to participate inthe study without any sample selection (N=360). The study was conducted with284 nurses who agree to participate in the study accordingly. The research datawere collected with the “Personal Information Form” and “Quality of NursingWork Life Scale- QNWLS”. The data were evaluated through Independent Sample ttest, One-Way ANOVA, and Kruskal Wallis analysis at SPSS-21 statistics pocketprogram as well as descriptive statistics.Results: It hasbeen found that most of the participants were “female” (81.7%), 45.8% wasbelong to the age group of 25-38, 56% had bachelor’s degree and a greatmajority ( 91.2%) were working as clinic nurse. The QNWLS Cronbach’s alphacoefficient of the nurses was found to be 0.75 and total mean score for thescale was determined to be at a good level (103.21±12.82). It has beendetermined that the descriptive features of nurses including age group, workingdepartment, experience and shift type affected the QNWLS subscales and therewas a statistical significant difference between them (p lt;0.05).Conclusion: It has beendetermined that the factors of age group, working department, experience andshift type, choosing the working department willingly, working in a relateddepartment with their field of expertise and the opinion of fee sufficiencywere effective on the working life quality. Based on these results, it may berecommended to review the laws and practices in order to improve the quality ofwork and to support nurses and to establish and implement standards that canimprove nurses' job satisfaction. In addition, the physical working conditionsof nurses should be reviewed and autonomy, career and promotion opportunitiesshould be given.
