dc.description.abstractIn this study, the differences between juvenile wood and mature wood in fiber morphology on the samples prepared from cedar and eucalyptus were investigated. For this aim, cell length, cell width, lumen width, wall thicknesses were measured. The measurements were made on juvenile and mature wood, separately. In the maceration process, chlorite method was used. The differences between juvenile and mature wood were determined with T test. According to obtained findings, cell length of juvenile wood and mature wood of the cedar and eucalyptus were different significantly. Cell width and wall thickness of juvenile and mature wood in cedar were different significantly. But, the same differences were insignificant in eucalyptus.
dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, genç odun ve olgun odun arasında lif morfolojisindeki farklılıklar sedir ve okaliptüs ağaçlarından elde edilen test örnekleri üzerinde araştırılmıştır. Bu amaç için, lif uzunluğu, lif genişliği, lümen çapı ve çeper kalınlığı ölçülmüştür. Ölçümler genç odun ve olgun odun örnekleri üzerinde ayrı ayrı yapılmıştır. Odun örneklerinin maserasyon işleminde klorit yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Genç odun ile olgun odun arasındaki farklılıklar T testi ile belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, sedir ve okaliptüsün genç odun ve olgun odunlarının lif uzunlukları istatistiksel olarak belirgin şekilde farklıdır. Sedirde genç odun ve olgun odunun lif genişliği ve çeper kalınlığı istatistiksel olarak farklı bulunmuştur. Ancak aynı farklar okaliptüste önemsizdir.
