Öğe Cynanchica paphlagonica (Rubiaceae, Rubieae), a new species from Türkiye based on morphology and phylogenetic data(Magnolia Press, 2025) Tunckol, Bilge; Liveri, Eleni; Koumandou, Vassiliki Lila; Aksoy, Necmi; Yasayacak, Hasan; Trigas, PanayiotisCynanchica paphlagonica from Kastamonu Province (T & uuml;rkiye) is described and illustrated. Detailed morphological observations and phylogenetic analysis place C. paphlagonica within a small monophyletic group of Anatolian-Pontic species. While the new species more closely resembles C. stricta in general morphology, it is distinguished by its habit, and inflorescence, corolla and mericarp characters. Cynanchica paphlagonica inhabits limestone cliffs and rocks, with its distribution limited to the P & imath;narba & scedil;& imath; district in Kastamonu Province. A single population comprising approximately 80 individuals is known so far, leading to its classification as Endangered (EN) following IUCN Red List Criteria.Öğe Polystichum asiae-minoris (Dryopteridaceae), a new fern from Kastamonu, Turkey(Magnolia Press, 2020) Tunckol, Bilge; Yasayacak, Hasan; Liang, Zhen-Long; Aksoy, Necmi; Zhang, Li-BingA new fern of Polystichum (Dryopteridaceae), P. asia-minoris, is described and illustrated from Horma Canyon in the borders of Kure Mountains National Park in Kastamonu Province located in the north of Turkey. Polystichum asia-minoris is distinguishable from the morphologically similar P. obliquum by having pinnae abaxially densely covered with broad-type microscales. It is not certain to which lineage the new species closely allied. The new species has extremely narrow distribution and is classified as Critically Endangered (CR) following IUCN Red List Criteria.
