Öğe THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ETHICAL LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALSAND SELF EFFICACY OF TEACHERS(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2017) Sağır, Mahmut; Tutkun, BurakThe aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between ethical leadership behaviours of school principals nbsp;and teacher self-efficacy. The relational scanning model was adopted in the research. Population of the study nbsp;was constituted by 6887 teachers in the province of Tokat during the academic year 2016-2017 while the its nbsp;sampling was comprised of 313 teachers. The Teachers' Sense of Efficacy Scale, which was developed by nbsp;Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk-Hoy (2001), and adapted into Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu ve Sarıkaya (2005), nbsp;was employed as data collection instrument in order to determine the level of teachers' self-efficacy, and the nbsp;Ethical Leadership Scale, which was developed by De Hoogh and Den Hartog (2008) and adapted into Turkish nbsp;by Alkan (2015), was used to determine the level of ethical leadership behaviours of school principals.The study has concluded that ethical leadership behaviours of school principals and self-efficacy level of nbsp;teachers are significantly and positively correlated at an average level. Accordingly, it might be claimed that nbsp;self-efficacy level of teachers tend to increase in parallel with the ethical leadership behaviours of school nbsp;principals. It was also determined that teacher self-efficacy perception is a low-level, meaningful predictor of nbsp;change in school principals' ethical leadership behaviors.
