    Number of Siblings and Self-Consept Relationship in Adolescents

    Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between the number of siblingsand self-consept among adolescents attending 7th grade.Materials and methods: Type of study is a cross-sectional descriptive survey. The researchwas held at 41 elementary schools in Isparta downtown; among 2795 seventh grade students,2676 students participated in the study. Results were obtained using socio-demographic dataform and the Pierss-Harris Self-consept Scale.Results: There has been found a significant correlation between the number of siblings andself-consept scores. According to the results of the test, students who have no siblings had higherself consept points, compared to those who have 3 or 4 siblings, found to be statisticallysignificant. (p
