Bunoktadaki doğru teşhis ve tedavi hasta ve sağlık hizmetlerinin etkinliği vetedavinin maliyeti açısından büyük önem taşır. Lyme artriti, İxodes cinsi sert kenelerin ısırığıile geçen Borrelio Burgdorferi spiroketinin neden olduğu hastalıklardanbiridir.Enfeksiyonlarında deri, merkezi sinir sistemi, kalp, göz ve diğer organlartutulabilir, çoğu olguda eklemler başlıca tutulum yeridir. Artrit şikayetleri ile başvuran çocukların çok küçükbir yüzdesi Lyme artriti hastasıdır. Avrupa da ise çocuk ve ergenlerdebakteriyel enfeksiyonu takiben ortaya çıkan artritler içinde en sık görüleniLyme artritidir. Lyme artritininbaşlıca semptomları, etkilenen eklemlerde şişlik, hareket kısıtlılığı ve sıvıbirikimidir. Sıklıkla, eklem şişliklerine ağrı eşlik eder.Bu olgu sunumunda, birinci basamağa eklemlerdeağrı, şişlik, yürüyememe şikayeti ile gelen Lymeartritli bir hastayı sunduk.Öğe Does Depression and Anxiety Rises in Pregnancy?(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2018) Kaya Zaman, Ferda; Özkan, Nurşah; Toprak, DilekDOESDEPRESSION AND ANXIETY RISES IN PREGNANCY? ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE:The aim of the study was to compare the levels of depression and anxietyamong pregnant women versus nonpregnant women inreproductive age and to examine its correlation withsocio-demographic characteristics. METHODS:50 women inreproductive age groups and 50 nonpregnant (control group) women between 15-49age group who have applied to the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology andPregnant Policlinic of Gazi Osman Paşa Taksim Training and Research Hospital.The participants who were involved in this study have been applied aquestionnaire for demographic features, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and BeckDepression Inventory (BDI). The results have been statistically analyzed.RESULTS:The pregnant group’s BDI and BAI scores arestatistically higher than nonpregnant group. Furthermore, there isstatistically a meaningful difference in BDI and BDA scores in respect ofpregnancy period in pregnant women (p lt;0,05). According to the results ofcomparision between the groups in order to determine the reason of thedifference; it has been found that while the score of 3rd trimester group ismeaningly higher than the score of 1st trimester group (p:0,017). CONCLUSION:In conclusion, findings show us that whilethe quality of life declines, the level of anxiety and depression increases inthe all trimesters of pregnancy, especially in the third trimester. Depressivesymptoms during pregnancy, especifically the psychological syptoms ofdepression ought to be taken seriously and should be taken as normal symptomsof pregnancy. These symptoms should not be missed. Keywords: Pregnacy,Anxiety, Depression, Sociodemografic feature, TreatmentÖğe Nasopharyngeal Group A Streptococcal Carriers in Healthy School Children(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2008) Toprak, Dilek; Demirdal, Tuna; Aşçı, Zerrin; Orhan, Semiha; Çetinkaya, ZaferObjectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of nasopharyngeal Streptococcus pyogenes in asymptomatic school children in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey. A secondary aim was to investigate whether pharyngitis occurred among the asymptomatic carriers. Methods: The study groups included 1129 primary school children in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey. An infectious disease specialist rubbed sterile swabs over the posterior nasopharyngeal walls of the 1129 children who had no symptoms of pharyngitis. Throat swabs were cultured for bacteria which were identified using standard microbiological methods. During the one year period of control, asymptomatic carriers were monitored for developing pharyngitis. Results: Of the 1129 children 73 (6.5%) were isolated S.pyogenes. We diagnosed 4 (5.5%) cases of pharyngitis among group A streptococcal carries. Conclusion: Our data shows that S. pyogenes nasopharyngeal carriage was found 6.5% in healthy school children. We observed a low occurrence of pharyngitis among asymptomatic school children
