Öğe Investigation of the Relationship between Mental Endurance and Psychological Well-Being of Male Chess Players(Imr Press, 2022) Özsarı, Arif; Pepe, Şirin; Görücü, AlpaslanBackground: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between mental endurance and psychological well-being of male chess players. Methods: 87 male active licensed chess players participated in the study. Ethics committee approval was obtained for the research. Mental endurance scale, psychological well-being scale and personal information form were used to collect the research data. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed for the research scales. In addition to descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analyzes are included in the relational model. Results: Considering the average values obtained from the research scales, it was found that the mental endurance and psychological well-being levels of chess players were high, and there was a positive and high level relationship between mental endurance and psychological well-being within the scope of the relational model (r = 0.742; p < 0.001), and it has been found that mental endurance has a significantly high and positive contribution on psychological well-being in sports (beta = 0.745; p < 0.001). Conclusions: It can be said that as the mental endurance of chess players improves, their psychological health will also be positively affected. It can also be stated that, especially by directing the young generation to chess, their mental endurance and psychological health will be improved in a positive way.Öğe Investigation of Tolerance Tendencies of Taekwondo Athletes(Pınar GÜZEL, 2021) Özsarı, Arif; Pepe, Hamdi; Pepe, Şirin; Fişekçioğlu, İ.bülentWith this research, it is aimed to examine the tolerance tendencies of taekwondo athletes in terms of various variables within the scope of tolerance, which is a universal value. While the population of the study is consisting of licenses taekwondo athletes in Osmaniye District, the sample group is composed of a total of 173 taekwondo athletes, 113 women and 60 men, with an age average of 12.96 ± 2.73 who voluntarily accept to participate in the study. The "Tolerance Tendency Scale", which was developed by Çalışkan and Sağlam (2012) and whose validity and reliability was made, was used in the study. In addition to descriptive statistics, Independent-Samples T-test, One-Way Anova-Tukey analyzes were included in the study. As a result; Although no significant differences were found in the tolerance tendencies of athletes depending on gender, athletic experience, and parents' education levels, significant changes were found according to age groups. Considering the average values obtained from the research scale form, it has been determined that the tolerance tendencies of taekwondo athletes are at a good level. It can be said that this result is a source of gratifying for Turkish athletes and society.Öğe Investigation on Burnout Levels of Female Staff Working in Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports(Researchtrentz Acad Publ Education Services, 2022) Pepe, Şirin; Koç, Şeyda; Karakuş Eroğlu, SedaThe aim of this study is to determine the burnout levels of female personnel working in the Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports and to compare them in terms of some variables. In this study, 117 female personnel with a mean age of 39.68 +/- 9.37 who were selected by random sampling who were working in the provincial center of Ankara and in some selected districts (Mamak, Cankaya, Sincan, Kecioren, Demetevler) participated in the study. Seven of the research questions developed by the researcher for determining the demographic data personal information form was used. Maslach Burnout Scale was used to determine burnout levels of the participants. In the analysis of data, frequency and percentage calculations were made for the demographic characteristics of the research group. Descriptive statistics of the depleted levels of the female staff working in the Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports have been demonstrated. Independent singlesample test (t-test) and one-way ANOVA (OneWay ANOVA) were used to examine whether participants' burnout levels differ according to variables. In the analysis of the data, a significance level of 0.05 was adopted. According to the results of the analysis, the t-test for the comparison of the burnout scale sub-dimensions and the ANOVA results showed that the emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment sub-dimensions of the female staff working in the Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports age group, marital status, having a child, education status, occupation It does not differ according to working style and working year. As a result, the female staff working in the Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports have the highest level of burnout in the middle level of emotional exhaustion and their burnout levels are 22-30, 31-40, 41-50 and 51 years of age and older, married, or single. whether they have children, have lower or lower secondary or higher levels of education, high school or higher or above, occupational status as coach, civil servant, cleaning officer or security officer, work forms shall be permanent, contract, service, or subcontractor -10, 11-15 or 16 years and may be said to be unchanged.
