TİROGLOSSAL KANAL KİSTİNDEN GELİŞEN PAPİLLER KARSİNOM VE SENKRONİZE TİROİD MİKROKARSİNOM, OLGU SUNUMU

Thyroglossal canal cyst is the most seen progressive abnormality of tyroid gland among congenital canal cyst. Papillarycarcinoma is also a tumour mostly seen developing in this area of tyroid tissue on the wall of this cyst wall. In our case,30 year-old women having an operation because of a swelling on her neck got diagnosed of tyroid papillary carcinomasin thyroglossal canal cyst. In the total thyroidectomy material of this patient, 3 papillary microcarcinoma pieces, 2classical variants in right lobe sections and 1 follucular variant in left lobe sections, have been observed. It has raiseddoubts whether it is primary or not as there are concurrently multifocal microcarcinoma pieces in thyroid gland. However,if there is a synchronic papillary carcinoma in TTK and thyroid gland, the multifocal tumour development is also amatter of question. Because of this, as the cyst consistency with cyst epithelium is observed in our case, it is thoughtthat there is a development of multifocal tumour in cyst and thyroid
