Sporcu olmaya aday çocukların, süratli ve çevik olabilmeleri için sıçrama performanslarını geliştirici bilimsel planlı çalışmaların yapılması, antrenör ve beden eğitimi öğretmenlerine önerilmektedir.Öğe A COMPARISON OF LEFT AND RIGHT LEG STATIC BALANCE PARAMETERS IN YOUNG HANDBALL PLAYERS(Dokuz Eylul Univ Inst Health Sciences, 2022) Özkamçı, Hüseyin; Karadenizli, Zeynep İnci; Zileli, RaifPurpose: The purpose of this study was to compare left and right leg balance parameters in young female handball players. Methods: 13 athletes (age: 15.07 +/- 0.19 years; height: 162.23 +/- 5.70 cm; body weight: 57.38 +/- 4.39 kg; BMI: 21.92 +/- 0.23 kg/m(2); training age: 4.23 +/- 1.36 years) volunteered for the study. Normality test of the data was done using Shapiro-Wilk test, and variation homogeneity was tested using Levene's Test of Homogeneity of Variance. When the data showed non-parametric characteristics, Mann Whitney U-Test was used; when it was parametric, Independent Sample Test was used. SPSS 17 Software was used for statistical analysis, and the significance was determined as p <= 0.05. Results: The results showed that when the mean speed of the left and right leg forward-backward velocity of the athletes was analysed, a significant difference was found in favour of the right leg (p <= 0.05). Furthermore, a significant difference was found in favour of the right leg between means of the left and right leg perimeter of the athletes (1350.05). However, there found no difference between means of the left and right leg lateral velocity and ellipsis area of the athletes (p >= 0.05). Conclusion: These results may show that due to the training ages of the athletes (4 years), branches of the athletes did not affect the results and their improvement were still in progress. It could also be due to the dominant leg of all the athletes being their right leg and/or due to the differences in their leg strength. The most important limitation of this study could be the fact that leg strength values were not included in the study. Generally, in handball, when the dominant arm of the athlete is their right, the leg at the opposite side is the one used for jumping. Nevertheless, in individual leg balance tests done with both legs, it is expected there be no difference between the values. For these differences not to cause any sport injuries and not to negatively affect the technical move performances, it is advised that coaches have lower extremity strength and balance exercises symmetrically done.Öğe The effects of plyometric training on balance, anaerobic power and physical fitness parameters in handball(Kamla-Raj Enterprises, 2016) Karadenizli, Zeynep İnciThe aim of this paper was to investigate the effects of a 10-week plyometric training (PT) on static balance (SB-unipedal), dynamic balance (DB-bipedal slalom), anaerobic power (AP) and some physical fitness parameters (PFP). Female handball players (aged: 15.13±0.87 years) were randomly selected into an experimental group (EG; n= 14), and a control group (CG; n= 12). At the begining of the examination, SB-unipedal, DB-bipedal slalom and PFP were measured. Wilcoxon test was used for comparison within groups and Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparison of between groups. Research findings show that the EG made significantly greater improvements than the CG in the SB-unipedal (left), AP, 30-meter sprint, agility, vertical jump (VJ), and horizontal jump (HJ) performances (p<0.05). Finally, 10-week PT positively affects SB-unipedal (left), AP, 30-meter sprint, agility, VJ and HJ performances. In order to gain positive results for these parameters, the PT program should be added and applied regularly in handball practice by coaches. © Kamla-Raj 2016.Öğe The effects of plyometrıc educatıon traınıngs on balance and some psychomotor characteristics of school handball team(Sakarya University, 2015) Karadenizli, Zeynep İnciThis study aims to search the effects of plyometric education trainings which was applied for 10 week on staticdynamic balance and some psychomotor characteristics of students who were been handball team of school. The girl students-players (N=16) who are in age 14,57±0,92 years. All student have got 3,66±0,63 years sport experience. Plyometric education trainings were performed twice a week for 10 weeks in the trainings of school handball team. Parameters such as body weight, height, vertical jump, standing long jump, 30m speed, agility, flexibility, and static-dynamic balance were measured and anaerobic power was calculated by Lewis formula. The SPSS 15.0 program was preferred for the statistics. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis of psychomotor characteristics and paired sample t test was used for the differences between the pre-test and post-test of plyometric education training of the players. The significance level was set at 0.05. The differences were observed between the pre-test and post-test of plyometric education training of flexibility t(51)=-4,518, p=0,00, standing long jump t(12)=-8,129, p=0,00, anaerobic power t(01)=-3,018, p=0,05 and left leg ellipse area at unipedal static balance t(39)= 2,399, p= 0,04 were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). © The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology.Öğe The Relationships Between Height, Body Weight, Stroke Length, Vertical Jump, Anaerobic Power Values and Freestyle and Breaststroke Technical Swimming Performance in Children Swimmers(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2024) Yavaş, Birsen; Karadenizli, Zeynep İnciThe aim of the research is to examine the relationships between height, body weight, stroke length, vertical jump, anaerobic power values and 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter breaststroke technical swimming performance in swimmers in the 7-11 age group. Eight child from Düzce Doğa Water Sports Club participated in the study. Participants were children who had been receiving regular swimming training for 1 year and practiced 2 days. Some anthropometric measurements of the participants (body weight, height, stroke length), vertical jump height, 50 m freestyle and 50 m breaststroke technical swimming performance measurements were taken. Peak power values were calculated using the formula of Harman et al. (1991). SPSS 22 was used for data analysis. Normality test was performed with Shapiro-Wilk. Due to the normal distribution of the data, the relationships between the variables were evaluated by Pearson Correlation analysis. As a result of the study, there were significant positive correlations between height and stroke length and negative correlations between height and 50 m breaststroke technical swimming speed. In addition, there was a significant positive correlation between vertical jump height and anaerobic power - peak power values (p lt;0,05). It can be suggested to coaches that height and stroke length are important criteria for performance in short distance breaststroke technical swimming in swimming talent selection.
