Öğe Fibrous hamartoma of infancy: An immunohistopatologyc study(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2007) Öztürk, Hayrettin; Karaarslan, Kazim; Yılmaz, Fahri; Öztürk, HülyaFibrous hamartoma of infancy (FHI) is an uncommon lesion, occurring as a superficial mass. We present one case of fibrous hamartoma in the ingunal region. The clinical and histopathologic features, and treatment results of child with (FHI) were described and the literature was reviewed. Criteria for histologic diagnosis include the presence of fasicles of myof ibroblasts, disorganized mature adipocytes and small rounded primitive mesenchymal cells. Immunohistochemically, muscle specific actin and vimentin were expressed in the myofibroblastic component, and vimentin was only expressed in the primitive component. The treatment of this uncommonly seen pathology is completely excision
