    The evaluation of tourism potential of Marage province (Iran) with A'WOT Analysis

    In recent years, international tourism has become one of the most important sectors for world’seconomy. International tourism has made tourism based economic development policies to be one of the hottestissues within public policies for many countries in the stage of economic growth and development. This studybesides revealing tourism potentials of Meragha (Iran), aims at defining appropriate tourism model for the area.The study draws upon the A’WOT technique. According to the findings, the most appropriate modeldetermined for the area is the natural tourism; besides the strength of the area for development, the weakness, theopportunities and the threats have been identified, besides the factors are changed into quantifiable data and thepriorities have been put forth. In addition, suggestions have been made for the development of the sector.
